Sorrento: logistically perfect and for all budgets
Sorrento is not technically on the Amalfi Coast, but it is the ultimate logistical hub. Well connected with trains (Circumvesuviana from Naples), ferries to Capri, and buses to Positano and Amalfi. It offers countless restaurants, a lively nightlife, and solutions suitable for any budget.

B&B in Sorrento that I recommend
- B&B Il Giglio Bianco (prices and rooms here): Just a few steps from the historic center, it offers a warm welcome. Modern rooms and an excellent breakfast are its highlights.

- Casa a Mare (prices and rooms here): Located in the picturesque village of Marina Grande, it offers an authentic atmosphere. The view of the fishing boats and Mount Vesuvius is its highlight.
4 Star Hotels in Sorrento that I recommend
- Hotel Antiche Mura (prices and rooms here): Very central location, just off Piazza Tasso. It boasts a beautiful indoor citrus grove with swimming pool, an oasis of peace in the heart of the city.

- Hotel Minerva (prices and rooms here): Slightly outside the chaos of the center. It offers a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples and a splendid panoramic rooftop pool.
5-star luxury hotels in Sorrento that I recommend
- Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria (prices and rooms here): An icon of the city. Overlooking the sea, it boasts lush gardens and a private elevator that descends directly to the port.

- Bellevue Syrene (prices and rooms here): Built on the ruins of a Roman villa, it blends classical art and contemporary design. The terraces overlooking the sea are simply incomparable.
Positano: The dream, but exclusive
The colorful houses clinging to the rock and the cascades of bougainvillea make Positano every traveler's dream. Choosing it as a base means immersing yourself in a magical and romantic atmosphere. It is the most expensive destination and requires strong legs to tackle its endless staircases.

B&B in Positano that I recommend
- Casa Guadagno (prices and rooms here): Located in the Fornillo area (quieter than Spiaggia Grande). It offers bright rooms, small terraces with sea views, and a family atmosphere.

- B&B Venus Inn (prices and rooms here): An excellent solution to experience the magic of Positano without spending exorbitant amounts. Panoramic terrace for breakfast and great hospitality.
4 Star Hotels in Positano that I recommend
- Hotel Poseidon (prices and rooms here): Once a private villa, it retains an irresistible vintage charm. The terrace with a pool, also open to non-guests for an aperitif, is one of the best panoramic spots in town.

- Hotel Marincanto (prices and rooms here): Enchanting property with terraced decks descending toward the sea. Private beach and elegant rooms with a classic taste.
5-star luxury hotels in Positano that I recommend
- Le Sirenuse (prices and rooms here): Synonymous with Positano worldwide. Every detail is curated to perfection, from the Champagne & Oyster bar to the pool surrounded by lemon trees.

- Il San Pietro di Positano (prices and rooms here): An exclusive retreat hidden in the rock just outside the center. It offers a fully equipped private beach, tennis courts, and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Praiano: The right compromise (between Positano and Amalfi)
Nestled halfway between the two "queens" of the Coast, Praiano is the ideal option for those seeking breathtaking views. Here, prices are slightly more moderate, without sacrificing an excellent central location.

B&B in Praiano that I recommend
- La Maressa (prices and rooms here): A delightful B&B with rooms elegantly furnished in Mediterranean style. Nestled in the rock with private terraces looking toward Positano and Capri.

- Il Frantoio (prices and rooms here): Surrounded by greenery, it offers spacious rooms and a delicious homemade breakfast. The atmosphere is one of total relaxation, far from the traffic of the Statale 163.
4 Star Hotels in Praiano that I recommend
- Hotel Margherita (prices and rooms here): A beautiful family-run hotel with excellent hospitality. Featuring high-level services, it includes a panoramic terrace with a heated pool.

- Tramonto d’Oro (prices and rooms here): As the name suggests, it is the perfect place to admire the sunset. Excellent internal restaurant and a rooftop pool with a view of the Faraglioni of Capri in the distance.
5 Star Luxury Hotels in Praiano that I recommend
- Casa Angelina (prices and rooms here): A boutique hotel with a minimalist and total white design, creating a stunning contrast with the deep blue of the sea. An experience of contemporary and refined luxury.

- Grand Hotel Tritone (prices and rooms here): Perched directly over the water, it features elevators carved into the rock to reach the private beach.
Amalfi: Historical charm (in a more secluded location)
An ancient Maritime Republic, Amalfi is rich in history and a crucial hub for SITA buses. However, I would consider it a "last resort" for a stay. Its location is more secluded if you plan to frequently explore the Sorrento side or the island of Capri.

B&B in Amalfi that I recommend
- Residenza del Duca (prices and rooms here): Located just a few steps from the famous Cathedral of St. Andrea, it guarantees a dive into Amalfi's past.

- B&B Valenti (prices and rooms here): Modern and spotless rooms. Located in an area slightly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main square.

- Hotel Marina Riviera (prices and rooms here): Located on the Amalfi seafront, it offers elegant rooms in classic style. It features a wonderful top-floor terrace where you can enjoy breakfast with a view of the harbor.

- Hotel Luna Convento (prices and rooms here): Housed in a 13th-century former convent founded by San Francesco of Assisi. It preserves the original cloister and boasts a centuries-old history of hospitality.
5-star luxury hotels in Amalfi that I recommend
- Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel (prices and rooms here): Spectacular location, nestled into the cliffside. The walks through the 13th-century Arab-Norman cloister and along the "Monks' Path" are a mystical experience.

- Hotel Santa Caterina (prices and rooms here): An Art Nouveau villa nestled in terraced citrus groves. It features an exclusive Beach Club accessible via panoramic glass elevators.
Ravello: The perfect romantic getaway (ideal for one night)
Suspended 350 meters above sea level, Ravello is the city of music and historic villas (Rufolo and Cimbrone). Although it has no direct access to the sea and is less convenient for daily travel, I would always keep it in high consideration for an unforgettable romantic getaway. Perhaps including it in your itinerary for one night.

- B&B I Limoni (prices and rooms here): Nestled in a typical Coast lemon grove, it offers an intimate, rustic, and authentic atmosphere, far from the crowds.

5-star luxury hotels in Ravello that I recommend
- Belmond Hotel Caruso (prices and rooms here): An 11th-century palace world-renowned for its infinity pool. Considered one of the most beautiful in Italy, it seems to blend seamlessly with the horizon.

- Palazzo Avino (prices and rooms here): Known as the "Pink Palace," it offers unparalleled opulence. It features a Michelin-starred restaurant and a private beach club ("Clubhouse by the Sea") in Marmorata, connected by a free shuttle service.
