10 "in time" things to do in London in one day: breakfast at Duck & Waffle

Staying out for a whole day takes, in addition to time, energy! Dealing with London in a day without a good breakfast is not a good start. So, for this, I recommend a beautiful place different from the classic Costa / Pret. I go there every time I go to London.

A place that is located at 40th floor and from which you can admire (for me) one of the best views of London . Tower Bridge in the background, London skyline and English breakfast, big deal. Reservations are required at the Duck & Waffle and it is also possible to have lunch or dinner. Prices are medium - high but in my opinion they are all there.
You can consult the Duck & Waffle menu on their website to get an idea. Super recommend .

10 "in time" things to do in London in one day: Tower Bridge

The Tower Bridge needs no description, it is the symbol and icon of London . Its beauty is unique and never tires. It's right next to the Duck & Waffle , so you can go there right after breakfast. Tower Bridge is great to visit both day and night when it lights up.

Tower-Bridge at sunset

So I would think about it even before you finish your day. Also because the surrounding area is full of Pubs/clubs. Tower Bridge can also be visited at the top. Don't forget, though, that we're only here for one day and time is money. For more info I wrote a detailed article on Tower Bridge info and prices

10 "in time" things to do in London in one day: London Eye

Another iconic London attraction not to be missed. Here the choice is always up to you: go up or see it only from the outside. The London Eye takes about 30 minutes to complete a full circle, a little bit of queue, 45 minutes.

London Eye

In my opinion it could also be done because the view is crazy and you see the Parliament with the Big Ben . Then it also depends on your budget. One thing is sure, sight alone is good for your health. You can see the London Eye from different perspectives. I leave you the link of the London Eye prices .

10 "in time" things to do in London in one day: Westminster e Big Ben

As soon as you come out of the Westminster station , look up to the sky. The Big Ben is right there, imposing and with that clock of his ready to tell you what time it is. And do you know what time it will be? The time to cross the bridge to see this spectacle from the other side.
The Westminister area is very beautiful, in addition to Big Ben there is the Parliament . You can always better admire it from the other side of the bridge. As you cross the bridge, the impressive London Eye is the backdrop.

10 "in time" things to do in London in one day: Piccadilly Circus

The beating heart of the city . Not coming here would be an outrage to this city. It is always from here that, on foot, you can reach many places. What I recommend, once you leave the station, is to go to a place: Neal's Yard .

Neal's Yard

There is a place in London called Neal's Yard and as you can tell from the name it's a courtyard. It is famous in London but not everyone knows it and knows where it is. The particularity of this place is the lively and colorful architecture .
I was impressed the first time I saw it . There are also many cafes where you can eat. It is also worth a visit because it is very fast.

Covent-Garden

10 "in time" things to do in London in one day: Trafalgar Square

Another very central place that can be reached from Neal's Yard. Trafagar Square is worth a visit even if you don't visit the British Museum which is right there. Obviously the museum is the main attraction but it would take too long to visit.

An overlooking at the square is more than fine, and I can recommend a pizzeria nearby. After all this walking you will have lunch, so if you are here I recommend you go to 50 Kalò .
Phenomenal pizza of the Master pizza maker Ciro Salvo, Neapolitan DOCG. Find his delicacies in a article I wrote especially for 50 Kalò . Super recommended .

If you decide to visit Camden Town, the next stop may be Primerose Hill . Hill and high-rise district of London from which you can admire the skyline of the city. I recommend it because the skyline of London is something unique. this city. From every point it is always different and magical. If I have to be honest, there is another place from which I prefer the skyline but I will tell you about it at the end.

Greenwich

Last but not least: Greenwich . I leave this place for last because it is less centered. One thing, however, I can tell you: this place is wonderful. The skyline from here is of a unique beauty, out of the ordinary. I went there only 2 times, just because it takes a little longer to reach it.

In my opinion, if you have time, it is also worth a visit because there are so many pubs in the surrounding area. Found them all on the riverside with Canary Wharf view. If you go at sunset and it's good weather, the wow effect is guaranteed.

Where to stay in London overnight

Visiting London in one day requires a great deal of energy. If you were thinking of spend at least one night here I can't blame you. When I come, even for just one day, I stay the night here. The reason is that I live the day with more relaxation.

Where to dine in London

If you decide to stay a night in London then you will have to dine somewhere. Well, even in this case I can recommend you a special place. Do you know Master Chef (TV show on sky)? If so, know that one of the judges of the Italian version, Giorgio Locatelli , has got a restaurant in London.

The restaurant is located in the near Marble Arch. Why do I recommend it? Firstly because it is Italian, secondly because you can have an experience.
Locanda Locatelli is in the Michelin guide and offers unique dishes of its kind. I have been several times tasting different dishes and have always been happy. Seeing is believing. For book at Locanda Locatelli
