Things to do in Westminster London: Big Ben
I don't know if you know, but Big Ben is not the tower that everyone photographs when they arrive in Westminster. Big Ben is the clock bell, while the tower is called Elizabeth Tower. The tower is dedicated to Queen Elizabeth and the bell (Big Ben) was rung for the first time in 1859. One of the most photographic spots in the city, especially if you are on the side of the London Eye.
Parliament
A building with an unmistakable neo-Gothic style, where British parliamentary life takes place on a daily basis. Attached to Elizabeth Tower, you can visit Parliament by pre-booking.
Things to do in Westminster: London Eye
The most famous Ferris wheel in England, perhaps in Europe, or even the world. The only thing we know about it is that from the highest point of the London Eye there is a breathtaking view of the city. It is possible book london eye tickets in advance. Try it to believe it.
Big Ben Photo Spot
I'll leave you with a little tip, as a professional photographer, about a super photographic spot. On the same bank as the London Eye, there's a place where you can take a super photo. To get to this spot, you have to go through an underpass. At the exit of the underpass, you'll find this arch that frames Big Ben. As a photographer, it's one of my absolute favorite spots in all of London.
Things to do in Westminster London: Abbey
Westminster Abbey is the last attraction I recommend in this article. It is a place where religious and historical/cultural functions, such as the coronation, take place. It is also the burial place of great artists who have shaped the history of England: Newton, Dickens, and Shakespeare, just to name a few, and for whom there are memorials. You can buy Westminster Abbey tickets in advance.
Statue of Winston Churchill
It's located near Westminster Abbey, with Sir Winston looking towards Big Ben. It almost seems as if he's there watching over the Tower and the Houses of Parliament. A historic and strong figure for England, symbolizing fighting spirit and leadership. To this day, it's an iconic landmark here in London you can't miss it.
