Burano is mainly famous for a beautiful spring/summer walk admiring its beauty. The uniqueness of the island is mainly given with its colorful houses which are worth a visit. What I therefore advise you to do is simply walk. Stroll through the alleys of Burano and immerse yourself in its colors.

Burano is so small that can be visited in half a day, which is why I recommend you go there early morning. By doing this you can integrate the trip to Burano with something else (such as going to Murano). Or visit something else in the afternoon in Venice.

Definitely spring-summer (avoid July and August due to the hot days). I also recommend a weekday instead of a weekend.

How to get to Burano
