24 hours in Florence: Piazza del Duomo
It doesn't matter where you stay in Florence, wherever you are you will be very close to the centre. The centre of Florence is this wonderful square with its 3 main monuments:

Woooooooow. I didn't know how else to start the paragraph except with a expression of astonishment. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the most important in Italy, indeed in the world. In Italy it is the most visited attraction, in the World occupies the 5th position and as Italian I am proud of it. Let's repeat it again, very proud.
Inside the Gallery you will find works by Italian artists who made history. If you've been lucky enough to study art history and you're passionate about it, it's a must-do.
The duration of the visit to the Uffizi is about 3 hours. If I can give you some advice, once you get to Florence, put it at the top of your to-do list. Most importantly: go there very early in the morning so avoid long queues . Here you can buy your ticket online for the Uffizi and skip the line.
24 hours in Florence: Accademia Gallery
Another wonderful place not to be missed in Florence. Accademia Gallery is famous all over the World for Michelangelo's “David” , symbol of Florence.

Ponte Vecchio is definitely one of the must-see attractions in Florence. It is considered one of the most beautiful bridges in the world due to its architecture. You can get an overlook of the bridge by walking away from it on the riverside.
Take advantage to take some nice photos. (Especially in the evening where the lights give it a magical atmosphere). On the bridge (pedestrian area) you will find many shops (mostly jewelers, very famous in Florence).

Piazzale Michelangelo is one of the highest hill point from Florence. From here you can admire the wonderful skyline of Florence with its monuments.
It is amazing and surreal how you can admire all the architectural works from here.

Where to eat in Florence
For this paragraph I'll be honest: in Florence you eat well practically everywhere . Obviously I have been in several restaurants that I will recommend and that are worth a visit to me
The Ancient Vintner
It is not a restaurant but a stop to do if you are in Florence . It began his adventure in 1989 and then opened all over the world. The "antico vinaio" in Florence is a “must” not to be missed.
Its schiacciata (typical Tuscan focaccia) take away has literally conquered the world. Ingredients?

Paoli restaurant
Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a restaurant but a museum. This restaurant dates back to 1827 and the interior is frescoed. Can you imagine it? You walk into a place to eat and for at least 10 minutes you're there staring at the walls.

How to get to Florence if you live in Italy
- Train: (best solution for times and prices). You can check prices/timetables for Florence by train on the Italo website.
- Bus: (another good solution but it can take longer, especially if you are far from Florence)
- Car: Convenient solution if there are many of you (saving money for petrol and parking). Also excellent for visiting the surroundings of Florence.
How to get to Florence if you live abroad

If you decide to stay one day (1 night is recommended), as you can see from the article, it will be a long one. Wake up early to be able to do everything on time and then relax in the evening.
Florence, after my beloved hometown Naples, is my 2nd favorite city in Italy .
