For Naples in one day I usually propose two alternative itineraries. I have written detailed articles about both of them that I will mention later. In the same articles you will also find maps to help you orient yourself better. The first thing to know is that Naples in one day is doable, but not enough to understand it. Despite this, in one day you can see many things (from the outside). And who better than a Neapolitan like me can show them to you? Ready to visit one of the most beautiful cities in the world? Iamme ià.

Naples One Day Itinerary: Sea View Tour
I put it first because I prefer it. You should know that I love the sea (in general, water) and that this tour passes through the Naples waterfront. However, the departure is from Piazza Municipio (where the Maschio Angioino is located). From here you can follow a route to admire a series of monuments and attractions:
- Maschio Angioino (departure)
- Umberto Gallery
- Spanish Neighbourhood
- Piazza Plebiscito
- Ovo castel and Borgo Marinari
- 13 descents

All these places I have mentioned will find one after the other. Reason why this itinerary is simple and pleasant, in addition to having a sea view. The 13 descents is an iconic panoramic point of Naples. You can easily reach it on foot.

Be sure to have water with you and not to go up at very high temperatures. I wrote a detailed article about this first seaside tour of Naples, read it. In addition to reading it, also look at the beautiful photos of some photo spots.
Accommodation in Piazza Dante just minutes from the metro
Piazza Dante is a perfect place to stay, having the metro just a stone's throw away, Neapolitan's word. Find the perfect accommodation for you by consulting the map.
Naples One Day Itinerary: Historical Tour
Historical tour precisely because we will visit the historical center of Naples. Churches, crypts, underground, and legends will be your daily bread. Folkloric? Yes. Must-do? Double yes. Here you can breathe the Naples of the past with its unique and unmistakable authenticity. There is no shortage of restaurants and street food with typical Neapolitan products at every corner. Returning to the attractions, you could visit at least one:
- Naples Underground
- Sansevero Chapel and Veiled Christ
- Cloister of Santa Chiara
- Naples Cathedral
- Treasure of San Gennaro
- San Gregorio Armeno

These are some of the most iconic attractions to visit. Even in the historical centre of Naples, the attractions are close to each other. You can therefore easily reach them on foot. Lose yourself in the alleys of this district to experience the life of a true Neapolitan. Also about the historic centre of Naples I wrote a detailed article, read it.
Which Tour to Choose?
Consider that it's impossible to do both, also due to a question of area positions. So it is up to you, once you have read the two articles that I left you, to choose which one attracts you the most. If you love the sea and landscapes then the “sea view” one is for you. If, however, you are more inclined to discover the Naples of the past, then the historical tour is for you. Whichever tour you choose, it will be a success. Oh, then if you want to do both book a night and everyone will live happily ever after.

What to eat in Naples
I list some Neapolitan delicacies, don't eat too many of them please:
- Pizza
- Pasta with potatoes and provola cheese
- Pasta alla genovese
- Casatiello (Easter period)
- Sfogliatella
- Babà
- Pastiera (Easter period)
- Neapolitan espresso
These, and more, are traditional Neapolitan recipes that must be tried. Oh mind you, not all of them and sparingly.
