Vesuvius the Volcano, Naples and the 10 panoramas with the most beautiful view . Some easy to reach, others less so. One thing is certain: the breathtaking view will give you unique emotions. Especially if you are in company with the person you love . It took me several years to take these photos and I always carry them with me. In the last part there is the place with the most beautiful view in all of Campania . Ready? Let's go!
Vesuvius the Volcano: view from Marechiaro
Among the 10 places with a breathtaking view we find Marechiaro . For the uninitiated it is a small fishing village in the Posillipo district. Famous here is the "Fenestrella e Marechiare" window. The poet Salvatore Di Giacomo was inspired for the famous song: Marechiare. «Quanno spónta ‘a luna à Marechiare, pure li pisce nce fanno a ll’ammóre…»
Starting from April, in Marechiaro is possible to take tours of the area by boat . The cost is not excessive especially because the sea view is wonderful.
The view from the “ 13 descents of Sant Antonio “
This is one of the most famous points , probably also the one with the most breathtaking view. Who is from Naples cannot miss it. It is always located in the Posillipo neighborhood. Writing about this place would probably be futile. If you haven't been there yet, it's time to go.
To be onest the view is from a viewpoint called: Belvedere di Sant’Antonio in Posillipo . This is located a stone's throw from the Church. And the 13 descents are what you can see looking out from the viewpoint. Observing the narrow streets from above, they seem to form a real serpentine.
Vesuvius stands out majestically on the background of the Gulf of Naples. From here you can see everything: houses, the sea, the Castel dell'Ovo and even the coast. Vesuvius is the master and goes to touch the sky . I can't recommend the best time of day. Because every moment is in itself and with a unique emotion.
The fact is that I had the pleasure of photographing it at dawn, during the day, at sunset and at night. Now I go there often because is better than a yoga class.

Vesuvius the Volcano: the view from Beverello pier
It will seem absurd but one of the most beautiful views of His Majesty it's right from a boat dock. The Molo Beverello it is the nerve center of the city, not surprisingly, it is within walking distance of the center. Here, in fact, cruise ships also dock.
It is also the starting and finishing point towards the magnificent: Capri, Ischia and Procida . Starting from April this area is full of tourists from all corners of the world. Taking off from the pier just a little you can enjoy a crazy view and be there to admire the view.

Vesuvius the Volcano: the view from San Martino
This time we are in Vomero ('O Vommero in Neapolitan) , one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the whole city. It is located on the high ground, in fact it is a hilly district with glimpses without words. There are two main things to visit here : with an adjoining view of Vesuvius. One of these is Castel Sant Elmo while the other is proper Charterhouse of San Martino .
From both you can enjoy a (similar) view from a slightly higher point. Entrance to the Castle is no more than 5 euros. The exterior of the Charterhouse, on the other hand, has a viewpoint from which to admire the landscape for free. It is, in fact, a very popular place.
Vesuvius the Volcano : when would you like Orazio road never ends
Here instead, we are in Orazio Street. This road literally takes us to the Posillipo hill. It connects the promenade of Mergellina with one of the richest areas of the city.
And the most beautiful thing about when you travel this wonderful stretch is Vesuvius. There, in the background, with the sea, the boats, the blue sky and the air that caresses our face. I did it often and willingly, especially on scooters and bicycles. I do not hide from you that I often went up and then went down to admire the panorama several times.
It looks almost hypnotic . As if you never want it to end, you would like as long as the lanscape were always there , still. But sooner or later, unfortunately, you arrive at the waterfront.
Vesuvius the Volcano: the view near Paradiso Hotel
If you stay in Posillipo, iand you are near the Hotel Paradiso , stop there. Precisely this place does not have a name because I discovered it by going exploring. The only thing I know is that is located in a parallel of Orazio Street (the first one).
It's called Catullo Sreet and after 50/100 meters where I took the photo there is the Hotel. In this place there are small crescent lookouts where you can enjoy the view. The point of view is different because you are a little bit thinner . So you will see much more in relief Vesuvius and Castel dell’Ovo.
View from Mergellina Seafront
Practically, the last 3 points (including this) are all connected . We are located on the Mergellina seafront. This enchanting place in summer becomes a destination for tourists and not. Perfect place for a walk with a lot of breeze that caresses your face. From here (even if we are at sea level) you can enjoy a wonderful panorama.
I recommend , in particular, the part final of Mergellina , where the Chalets are located. There are the piers with boats and this will make the frame of Vesuvius fantastic . I go there very often, I recommend sunset time.

Vesuvius the Volcano: the view from Capodimonte
Capodimonte is another wonderful place where you can have a magnificent view. Indeed, here, unlike all the others mentioned before you are at the highest point . So you will have a real full view of the city . Capodimonte is very famous for the immense Royal Wood , inside which there is the Royal Palace. In addition there is also the museum , famous for the various exhibitions and works it houses.
The first time I was there it made me gape. , what I saw is surreal. I think it was definitely one of the places that gave me the most emotions. I think I looked at the panorama for at least half an hour . Vesuvius looms in this perfect setting and just waits for you to immortalize it. Nearby there is also the observatory and that evening I was there I also saw a shooting star . So if you are lucky, you also make a nice wish.
Now the question you are asking yourself is: where did you take the picture from? Well, on this I was lucky because I have a friend who has a B&B with this view called Terrazze 55 . Vesuvius the Volcano: the view from Castellammare di Stabia
Ladies and gentlemen, now we are approaching one of my favorite places: the coast . Vesuvius is also the setting for many other cities. One of these is Castellammare and it is a seaside town which is located just before my beloved coast.
It can be considered the beginning of one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world . Of which I will then dedicate an article. But ban on the talk, from Castellammare, the Vesuvius can be seen from almost everywhere. Starting from the city itself or the (later) wonderful curves of the coast . I personally discovered a very nice place and with a breathtaking angle. It is located immediately after setting foot on the stretch of coast . Let's say we are between Vico Equense and Castellammare . As a point of reference I give you the Medieval Castle which is nearby.
Once you get there, find a place to stop to admire this show. Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast go hand in hand and create a unique scenario. The feeling you should feel is of freedom , because here the spaces are more open.
Monte Molare: the most beautiful view of Campania
Before starting to write this part, it is better to give some tips . In this place, if you've never been there, better go with someone skilled , at least the first time. Getting there isn't at all simple , you have to walk a lot and have a minimum of equipment . Trekking shoes, windproof jacket, a spare, 1.5 l of water and a "marenna" (something to eat). (for safety also gloves and hat).
To get to Mount Molare you must initially climb from Vico Equense . You then reach Monte Faito and then continue further up and reach the starting point . You can reach the starting point of the climb on foot by car. Now I leave you the CAI link which will explain exactly how to move on the path. But I repeat: the first time better to go there with someone who has already been there.
Mount Molare is a part of Mounts Lattari
and it is, with its 1444 meters high , one of the highest points in Campania. Now I won't be here to write info about it but I'll just show you what for me it is the most beautiful view of Vesuvius . One of my best friends took me to this place and I will never stop to say him thanks.
Whenever we can, we go. Get on the Monte Molare is magicI still remember the first time... Before we get to the exact point where there is a view of Vesuvius one last little climb. Seconds that seemed like hours... Then you get there, you stop, I think the first thing you do is remain silent for several seconds. You don't realise that you have a city at your feet and that you would stand there for hours on end in silence, but then you escape: WOW. To reign in this place there are two wonderful things.
Silence and the one who keeps us company all this time: Vesuvius with everything around it. If you are looking for a place to abound in nature I recommend it. If you are, like me, looking for ever new experiences I also recommend sleeping in a tent. You will never forget that view and you will have a clear idea of the breathtaking concept.
