Vico Equense is a true pearl of the Sorrento coast, in my opinion underrated. I'll tell you more, it is the 1st city that gives life to the famous Sorrento peninsula. Despite being "small", in Vico Equense there are several things to do and beaches to dive into. In this article I will show you the beauties of Vico Equense through my photos. At the end of the article I will leave you many useful links on tours, accommodations and the other beautiful cities of the coast. Ready? Iamme ià.

Vico Equense best beaches
Vico Equense is a seaside city and of course, I will first tell you about its beautiful beaches. In Vico and the surrounding area, there are several where you can take a swim in peace, kissed by the sun with Vesuvius in the background. Choose the one that inspires you the most if you decide to bring your swimsuits.
Marina di Vico Le Postali beach
The main beach of the city with several beaches clubs where you can stop. You can go down to the beach on foot or by means (there is a parking lot).

Hotel Sporting Beach
A private beach (and also a bit secluded) that I like very much and where I personally go in Vico. It is accessed through the Hotel Sporting and is also for those who are not guests of the hotel. The reason why I like it is because from here you can also take a nice kayak trip (renting one at the lido). Nearby you will find many natural sea caves to explore.

Scrajo beach
It is located just outside the center of Vico Equense and is a real natural pool. You can also reach it on foot with a nice walk. To be more precise, just 17 minutes on foot from the city center. I recommend it because, in addition to being beautiful, it is also very quiet.

Seiano Beach
Always not far from the city center (a little more than Scrajo) you can reach Seiano. Another beach of Vico Equense that, unlike the others, is slightly larger.

A Night with a Sea View
I don't know whether your intentions are to stay a day and then leave, or to sleeping in Vico. In the second case, I wanted to tell you that below you will find updated prices per night with many sea-view accommodations.

Vico Equense Italy: Church of the Santissima Annunziata
This is probably the only church in Italy that you enjoy seeing from the outside. Why? The Church of Vico is perched on the sea making it part of a sort of fairy tale. Its baroque style is unmistakable as is its pink color. The backdrop to this beauty is his majesty Vesuvius.

Villa Paradiso
Are you wondering where is the best place to observe the Church of Vico? From this little villa that is easy to reach on foot from the center of Vico. From Villetta Paradiso you can also admire the beaches of Seiano and the hotel Sporting. Don't worry, I'll leave you all the panoramic points on a map later.

Vico Equense Italy: Giusso castle
A beautiful castle of Renaissance inspiration which, like the Church, overlooks the sea. In Vico I had so much fun taking photos with the drone of these incredible scenarios. Castello Giusso is very popular in Vico for wedding celebrations. If you still don't have any ideas for your special day, take a good look.

Vico Equense Italy: town centre
The small but very cute city center of Vico can be summarized in Piazza Umberto. The heart of the city and a passageway to reach the city of Sorrento (and not only). Take advantage of it for an aperitif or to eat one of the typical products of the coast. In fact, I'll make a list for you later.

What to eat in Vico Equense
Vico Equense, as in the whole Sorrento coast, prefers dishes of the Mediterranean tradition. What you absolutely must try:
- Gnocchi alla sorrentina (originally from Sorrento)
- Provolone del Monaco
- Fish and seafood (perhaps cooked with a nice pasta format)
- Delizia a limone
- Ice cream
- Caprese (both cake and starter)
How to get to Vico Equense
Whether from Naples or Sorrento, Vico Equense is easily reached by train or bus:
What to see near Vico Equense: Sorrento
Sorrento is a beautiful city to visit if you stay a few more days. Sorrento, like Vico, can be easily visited in a day between beaches and the historic center. I wrote a complete article on Sorrento to visit in a day. Take a look at it, it may be useful.

What to see near Vico Equense: Pompeii
One of the most famous archaeological sites in the world is very close to Vico Equense. This is why, always availability permitting, I recommend you visit it. Visiting Pompeii is like taking a dip into the past and gives you the chance to relive those times gone by. I also wrote an article about Pompeii where I suggest the tour to do and what to see (together with a guide).

Conclusions
This short article about Vico Equense is coming to an end, I hope you enjoyed it and that it was helpful. Don't forget to check out the articles about Pompeii and Sorrento. See you on the next trip and remember: those who travel live twice!
