If I told you that 2 Italian guys in 2013 left Italy with the equivalent of 1000$ in their pockets to then create an empire would you believe me? And yes, this is not a fairy tale but the classic story of who made it. The story of those who never gave up a single centimeter and believed in their dreams.
This is Omar and Giacomo's story (ex-colleagues, now shareholders) who took over Cucinetta in 2017. Restaurant in the heart of South Yarra in Melbourne, today a gem of the Italian Hospitality.
We create emotions

For Italians Hospitality is a serious matter and before good food comes a good service. Even before a good service, someone at the door ready to smile at you. Someone ready to make your day.
For Italians, dining is a tradition that creates union, binds. Being at the table is conviviality, meeting up with people we love and spending happy moments. This is all you will find at Cucinetta, with a staff ready to cuddle you.
Cucinetta: the smallest restaurant in Melbourne
A 29 sqm boutique restaurant serving Italian dishes with a seasonal menu. A restaurant with around 20 seats making it the smallest in Melbourne. But for this reason, they make it special as well.
In Italy there is a way to say: nella botta piccola c'è il vino buono (in the small barrel there is good wine). A way to say that in small things there is often so much goodness and quality. And this, believe me, is the case for Cucinetta and all it has to offer. A restaurant where the details do, as always, the difference.
From the food to the wine list up to the service of the attentive staff. A restaurant where everything is made with quality ingredients and among these there are also: passion, heart and love. Ingredients that give a special flavor, that make you feel at home…. because when you are with the people you love, it's like staying with family.
