Restaurant
Captained by Giulio Martinothe restaurant is a mix of tradition and innovation. Strictly Neapolitan tradition, woe betide the Neapolitan tradition to a chef, heaven forbid. Few dishes have been prepared by Giulio, whose experience has seen him tour the Sorrento, Amalfi and Capri coasts.
Inspired by our land and our flavours, Giulio has created a simple but unique menu. A slim menu made up of a few starters, first and second courses, but which will surprise you. There is of course no shortage of desserts - how could you finish a meal without them?
Anyway, running the orchestra in the hall is the manager/owner John Scognamiglio. A militant veteran of six years of Parisian battles who could not resist the call of home. The sight of Engineer Gustave's Tower had grown a little tired, however incredibly romantic.
Let's also not forget that Paris is always grey all year round. Do you want to compare it to the sunshine and parasols of the Granatello? Come on. The return to the homeland sees Giovanni immediately active with the Essenza in one of Portici's most beautiful locations.
Joining him in the room will be Mya with her meticulousness and passion in the hospitality industry. Ah, I forgot his beautiful smile 🙂 🙂
Cocktail Bar
What would the world be without the 'unusual American' of Dario Bertollini? But how have you never tried it? Damn you. Whatever, I forgive you, you have a summer to catch up. Bar Manager and owner of Essenza has drawn up the drink list and its signatures. Drinks that will fly like wildfire on the beautiful terrace that will be the set for your beautiful Instagrammable photos and tiktokkiani videos.
The terrace is the centrepiece of the restaurant and serves exclusively as a bar, while the restaurant will be on the lower floor. The terrace will however have a small menu section dedicated to food. Don't worry, Giulio has thought of you all, he won't let you starve. Or at least I think so.
The food menu on the terrace includes six different tapas. Ah no wait, since no one ever understands what these blessed tapas are, let's say six things to nibble on. Or as the good Dario would say: six delicacies. Coccos a magnà as we would say in our parts.
