Naples and the Amalfi Coast Itinerary 3 Days: No-Stress Tour

If you asked me if you can visit Naples and the Amalfi Coast in 3 days I would say yes. I would also tell you something else, forget the articles that tell you: 15 things to do in Naples in one day. Or those: 20 things to do on the coast in two days.

Forget all this because I am sincere. And sincere means that I do these itineraries first, with my little feet. Having said this, come with me and I will show you the beauties of my city and the coast with my photos.

These are the four stops that I would do, and recommend, if I were in Naples and on the coast for 3 days.

Naples in a day by walk

Naples in one day can only be visited in one way: on foot. Because only on foot can you get a little idea of ​​how incredible this city is. Like the people who populate it. In one day you could also visit one of its many attractions. Many in Naples take about an hour of your time, and one of these is Naples Underground.

These are the places that are worth seeing in a one-day itinerary in Naples strictly on foot. They are all very close to each other and can be seen in a day calmly, without too much hurry. Of course, there will be walking, so come to Naples with a pair of comfortable shoes.

Naples Underground

The price of "Napoli Sotterranea" is very low for the extraordinary experience you are going to have. An underground Naples that tells a story, made of many people who took refuge.

Naples and the Amalfi Coast Itinerary 3 Days: Positano

Let's move from Naples to Positano, which we can do in two ways:

• Naples - Positano by hydrofoil
• Private shuttle from Naples to Positano

Positano is, together with Amalfi, one of the most important cities on the Amalfi coast. A Unesco Heritage Site since 1997 that offers noteworthy landscapes. Better to say, real postcards.

Positano is the city where, for the remaining two days, I recommend you stay. Positano, compared to Amalfi, is more lively, especially at night. A little more "movida" in this life of ours never hurts. Positano can be easily visited in one day and is the gem of the coast. Beautiful beaches and lots of relaxation overlooking the sea.

Naples and the Amalfi Coast Itinerary 3 Days: Amalfi

To reach Amalfi from Positano you have at your disposal: hydrofoil, bus or scooter:

• You can book a scooter in Positano
• Positano - Amalfi by hydrofoil

However you reach Amalfi, you can be sure that it will leave you speechless. Amalfi, like Positano, can be easily visited in a day. An absolute must-see is the Duomo. You can find it at the top of the beautiful steps in the main square.

In Amalfi, as in Positano, you can breathe an air of “dolce vita”. The famous Italian dolce vita, characterized by its slow, stress-free life. So take the opportunity to do a bit of practice, slow down.

Atrani: the smallest village in Italy

In 15 minutes on foot from the center of Amalfi, you can reach not only the smallest but also the most beautiful village in Italy. Atrani seems to have come out of a fairy tale book. Take a tour of this small village just a stone's throw from the sea.

Ravello and its Villas

Of course also Ravello is no joke. It is only 30 minutes from Amalfi and I recommend a visit, even for a few hours. Ravello is famous, among many things, for the Music Festival it hosts every summer. It is held in one of its two iconic villas: Villa Rufolo. Together with Villa Cimbrone (also in Ravello) it is among the oldest villas on the coast. I would take a tour if I were you.

Staying close to the port makes things easier for you

Avoid staying in and around Piazza Garibaldi. The historical centre is a good area to stay. Your next destination is the Amalfi Coast, I leave you a map with accommodation near the Beverello Pier (which is part of the centre). This will help you better logistically with travel.
