Best beaches of Mykonos: Ornos
Let's make a small premise by saying that all the most beautiful beaches of Mykonos are found in the south. Ornos is one of these and also the most close to the city center but reachable by bus. From the center of Mykonos, buses leave continuously every day towards the beaches until the evening. Ornos is very beautiful with a crystal clear sea, you will find beach clubs and free spaces.
Best beaches of Mykonos: Agios Ioannis
Another beautiful beach on the island and located near Ornos . It can always be reached by bus. The beach is smaller than the rest of the others but it is worth a visit. From here you can walk to another very private and quiet spot.
Kapari beach
You reach this small beach via Agios Ioannis beach, on foot. With a short path you will arrive at this isolated cove far from prying eyes. Take advantage of this because Agios Ioannis and Kapari are close for visit them on the same day.
Best beaches of Mykonos: Platys Gialos
One of the beaches I liked the most. Platys Gialos is a small beach that it looks like a real bay. The water is crystal clear and the sand white. Here too you will find beach clubs and free spaces where you can spend the day. You can reach the beach by bus.

Another beautiful beach not to be missed is Paragka. Small and discreet with a spectacular sea. I have always said that the sea in Greece is like that of a swimming pool, seeing is believing! Drop by if you have enough days available.

Further away from the rest of the others (which are more or less close to each other) is the little beach of Agrari. This is another beach that I highly recommend seeing if you have time. You will probably have to reach this by renting a scooter or a car. The buses don't reach here unfortunately.

If you stay in Mykonos long enough I recommend you visit the Delos islands and Rhenia. Places with uncontaminated nature and crystal clear waters. I leave you the link to book the half-day tour starting from Mykonos.
Best period to visit Mykonos
Do you want to save something in terms of budget? May/June and October are the perfect months for Mykonos and also without too many crowds! In these months you can enjoy the island in complete relaxation but also having fun. One thing you will save a lot on is the cost of accommodation (up to 3 times less).

How to get to Mykonos center from the airport
Getting to the center of Mykonos from the airport is very easy and you have two options:
- Bus (cheap)
- Taxi (I recommend taking it only if there are many of you and you can split the costs because it is expensive)
