If you want to immerse yourself in the true essence of Naples, amidst the scent of fried pizza and the chatter of the alleyways, the Historic Center is the place to be. Staying here means having the city literally at your fingertips, walking through hanging laundry and artistic masterpieces. - What’s nearby: You are just a few steps away from Spaccanapoli, Via San Gregorio Armeno (the famous street of nativity scenes), and the Duomo of San Gennaro. Chiaia and Lungomare: Elegance at a stone's throw from the sea
If you prefer the scent of the sea breeze, the Chiaia neighborhood is the perfect choice. This is the area of the "struscio" (the classic evening stroll), high-fashion boutiques, and chic bars where you can stop for a sunset aperitivo. It is recommended for those seeking comfort, safety, and romance (perhaps for a special occasion). Here, I’ve set a maximum cap of 150 euros (since the accommodations are just a stone's throw from the sea). Finding something under €100 is tough, but slightly more is not impossible. Sorrento is the magical gateway to the coast, a perfect mix of elegance and the warmth of the local people. I’ll admit it: it’s my favorite city on the coast. Between the scent of Sorrento lemons and a dip at Marina Grande, you’ll lose yourself in the historic center’s alleys filled with artisan shops and breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples. It’s the ideal place to enjoy a unique sunset, perhaps while sipping a chilled limoncello with Vesuvius on the horizon.
